What better way to kick off the year than with a Fall Festival? We obviously thought it was a great idea, too. With five bands, three food trucks, and over ten vendors, we threw UVU's first annual Hullabaloo -- UVU's Fall Festival. Five local bands came out to perform; Steve Michels, Robert and the Carrolls, The Brocks, and Vanladylove. Each band brought their own unique style to the stage and were loved by all.
On the third floor of the parking garage hundreds of students gathered to take a break from homework, enjoy some waffle lovin', listen to some of the most popular local bands, and to meet new friends. The Truth, a local quit smoking campaign received a lot of attention with their photo booth. They were able to get hundreds of pledges signed stating they would either continue to not smoke, or to quit smoking. We were more than happy to support this cause.
According to the talk on the block, The Brocks won many unofficial awards including, "most attractive band award" as well as the "most hipster and chill music award". The Brock drew the largest crowd and seemed to be loved by all. After they performed, they were very sociable and approachable. Many students took pictures with them and were excited for their next showing.
We were definitely able to go home that night knowing that we pulled off a successful event. With hundreds of students in attendance, happy vendors, and tired bands, we were able to call it a good night. Thanks to everyone who came out to support the Hullabaloo -- UVU's Fall Festival! Remember, Stop Being Boring! We look forward to seeing everyone at our next event!
